A
group of friends, winter sports fans, decide to make their holiday in
Borovets more different and to organize a competition in between themselves.
The date is 30th December, 2003. One of them - Miroslav Sevlievski takes
up the organization of the competition. In the progress of the preparation
for the competition they decide to invite young skiors from ski-teams
in Samokov. After hours talking at the fireside, the name of the incoming
competition is choosen - "Chamkoria". Three sponsors - Miroslav
Sevlievski, Krassen Kralev and Borislav Gigov - provide the awards. And
thus, on 2 January 2004, at 11:30 am, the start of the pilot competition
for ski-cup "Chamkoria" is given on the ski-course "Yastrebec
- 2", Borovetz. The organization is up to standart. In the morning
Miro and ski-teachers arrange 35 gates on the course with lenght 500 m.
The participants are 26, aged between 5 and 45. The young skiors from
Botovetz look forward to the start of the competition. The referees give
start and the competition begins. The girls slope first, then the boys.
The first three places in each category are in few seconds difference.
We, the fans, slope after them but with tha same sport spirit. We are
all together in an hour and a half. The awarding starts. There are awards
for everybody. The ski-accessories, that everybody recieve, are "Rossignol".
There is delicious grill for the hungry skiors. We all are seized with
competetive spirit and decide the friendly issue ski-cup "Chamkoria"
become a tradition. On
12th February 2004 was held a constituent
assembly of the club. The statute of the association was carried and
was elected the board of managers. A youth
section was made. On 14th February 2004 was elected the chairman of
the board of managers - Miroslav Sevlievski. Members of the board are:
Georgi Markov and Borislav Gigov. A decision professional ski competition
to be made on 27-28 March 2004 in Borovets for the price ski-cup
"Chamkoria" is made.

SKI-CUP "CHAMKORIA"
In the spirit of the tradition we've decided that the cup should take
the old name of Borovetz, which literal means pine-forest and symbolize
"the fighting field" of our favourite sport. National competition
in ski-alpine diciplines for boys and girls, youths and elders.
